Online Exam Prep Group
Once students have finished their formal training, many can feel lost and alone in preparing for their final exams. This exam prep group gives you a supportive yet challenging space to keep you on track. Whether you are going for your counselling diploma, UKCP accreditation route, or preparing for your CTA, this exam prep group is tailored for each student’s needs. We meet monthly online to offer regular continuity to your exam prep, and peer support.

The curriculum is set by students, and each month you are invited to bring something to the group to look at. Things to bring might include:

Theory discussion

Client and tape selection

Mock exams

Answering written and oral questions

Theoretical discussion

Desensitisation and anxiety management

Ethical dilemmas and tensions

Understanding the marking criteria

Practical issues (e.g. recording equipment, presenting written work)

Supervision on exam process/clients

About tutor
Rebecca Davies is currently UKATA’s CTA written exam coordinator and is the chair of UKATA ‘s Exam Committee. She has many years’ experience running exam prep groups and is passionate about supporting students through this final part of their qualification. Given her experience, she knows the ins and outs of the exam process, what is needed to pass, and common pitfalls and how to avoid them.

Fees:
£65 per session. I ask all participants to commit to the year, and pay for their place in the group rather than attendance. The first sessions fee is due upfront as a non-refundable deposit.
