Core Tutor - Rebecca Davies PTSTAT(P)
Rebecca Davies is the director and core trainer at Somata. Rebecca is a PTSTA(P), trainer, supervisor, UKCP Certified Transactional Analyst, and an accredited Dance of Awareness Therapist. She holds advanced diplomas in Supervision, body psychotherapy and trauma. She has extensive experience teaching Transactional Analysis and embodied perspectives, as well as a special interest in Interpersonal Neurobiology.
Rebecca has been the chair of UKATA’s exam committee and the CTA written exam coordinator for several years and is therefore intimately familiar with the many complex procedures and protocols around the examination and qualification process.
Visiting Tutor - Claire Daplyn PTSTA(P)
Claire is a UKCP-registered psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst in the psychotherapy field (PTSTA). She holds an MSc in Psychotherapy and has experience in clinical practice, supervision and training.
Her work is relational, trauma-informed and grounded in Transactional Analysis. She has a particular interest in burnout and has developed a practical workbook to help people recognise early signs, understand their patterns and make sustainable changes. Her teaching brings together theory and experiential learning, offering students space to reflect, ask questions and connect Transactional Analysis with clinical practice and their own embodied experience.
